Dave's Quite Good MIDIs page!

Welcome to Dave's Quite Good MIDIs page! I have many midis to share with you, collected from across the web since 1999. There is a variety of different content here; songs from videogames, anime OP/EDs, pop songs, jazz standards, those exotic GS and XG midis, stock music, totally obscure finds and more! The only requirement for a midi to be included here is that I have to think it is worth sharing for whatever arbitrary reason! The bar is being set low.
With my personal midi collection standing somewhere in the region of 16,000 files, this is a mere sliver of what I have, though I will likely add more in future. The rest will remain securely stored away in the vault, where they can do no harm.
This site is of course UNDER CONSTRUCTION, as is tradition. It will never, ever not be under construction, even if I haven't updated it for a decade. I know you wouldn't have it any other way, dear reader.
I may or may not try to organise things a little better here in future, maybe tidy it up with oldschool tables if I can do it painlessly. I am not bothered if this page looks terrible on your phone; I am sure there is something more exciting happening over on social media.
Incorrect information? Broken links? Suggestions? Incandescent fits of rage? Please get in touch (e-mail address at the bottom of the page.)
Last update: March 29th 2025 1999!
MIDI sequences hosted here may or may not be available on the web elsewhere. Some for instance can be found buried at vgmusic.com, other enthusiast websites, original authors' websites and so on. Others are likely to have fallen off the web, are very obscure and risk being lost to the passage of time. In other words, put that right mouse button into service! Just like the many ill-fated angelfire and geocities pages before it, this webpage is also likely to disappear one day, such is the ephemeral nature of the web. This stuff will not be on Spotify.
In some cases I have given further context for songs, and given sequence authors credit when available. If you are an author of content here and you would prefer it was removed, please e-mail me and I will take it down, no questions asked. I am concerned about many of these great songs being lost forever. Please understand!
Original MIDI music
Music by web musicians and composers originally authored in MIDI format. I consider many of these to be amongst my favourite midis in my collection. Some of these are likely to need Roland SoundCanvas devices for accurate playback; I may indicate these at a later date when I am less lazy.

Unknown music
Here are some tunes that I have never been able to identify. If you have any information at all about the following files, please let me know!
1.mid
2.mid
My brother's friend, a precocious programmer and game developer, brought a CD-RW around to our house, and it had these two songs on it (amongst many other sequences also on this page!) He inadvertantly got me into midi and in some respects is responsible for me becoming an internet musician, but I guess that's another story. Anyway, I seem to remember him telling me that he made these, though I never could be certain. To this day they remain a mystery.
Animeal.mid
No info on this one. It sounds like it could be an anime OP/ED.
Paper Tiger
I knew the author of this at one time but I don't know any more, sorry!
Alien vs. Predator
Allegedly something to do with Alien vs. Predator but I was never able to verify it.
Batnc.mid
I believe it's from a videogame but that's all I know
Boitjazz.mid
Patuah.mid
Ah fackin' heck yeah, man...
Just Do It
KazaTecn.mid
This is in a folder called Planet Music but I don't have any other information. Possibly stock music.
Heaven's Door MAIN THEME
I have no idea what "Heaven's Door" is. It is in a directory called "PACKAGE" which also has the following four songs...:
PACKAGE "COMET" -MAIN THEME-
PACKAGE -MENU-
PACKAGE "METEORIC!" (COMET)
Refrection ENDING
Ragtime
I found this in the My Documents folder of one of the computer room computers at my school, and spirited it away on a floppy disk. Ah, good times...
Anime Revolution Online Game - Battle Theme
Anime Revolution Online Game - Boss Battle Theme
Anime Revolution Online Game - Mint's Battle Theme
I couldn't find any information about an Anime Revolution Online game, so here they sit for now...
Animated GIFs
I received a threatening hotmail demanding that the webpage include animated GIFs, and that if I failed to do this they would come over to my house and break my legs. So here you go.
If you have enjoyed this webpage, consider checking out my original music on Bandcamp!
